“ One of my go-to cafe spots for chilling and/or working during the week! I love the location of Strings of Life - tucked just behind some buildings on the always buzzing Melrose Ave, it’s like a quiet & peaceful little hidden oasis right there. I just always feel so relaxed while I’m here! There’s an outdoor space with some tables and nicely cushioned chairs, in addition to the seating in the cafe itself. The service is also very friendly and quick every time I go - my order is always ready in basically no time at all. I find the employees here to be way friendlier and nice than a lot of other cafes in the WeHo area. Food and drink items are mostly the usual prices you can expect for a cafe in West Hollywood, but everything is always very fresh and high quality! I often use this cafe for doing some remote work during the week, and the WiFi is always very easy and quick to use. I highly recommend this spot for either a quick escape from the busy streets of WeHo, or as a place for getting work done! ”
“ i love this place! we’re visiting LA and were hoping to grab some food and coffee near melrose ave and all the cafes were SO busy until we stumbled across SOL we ordered the vegetarian burrito bowl and bacon & cheese croissant and they were both amazing my iced americano was also delicious the store is so cute and not busy and spacious with lots of indoor and outdoor seating the baristas and music were also amazing would 10/10 recommend ”
“ One of the best breakfast burritos - the dirty roadie! Everything delicious here - also had avocado toast, coconut chia pudding and coffee. Cute vibes and kind staff! If you don’t like this, not sure what you’d like! ”
“ So glad I stopped here for a break and a delicious salad. Will gladly come back here again. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Note: Didn’t try their espresso, but did try their medium roast coffee and found it weak. ”

“ It was lovely to walk in and see “Long Black” on the menu. Just like walking into a cafe at home in Australia. For coffee connoisseurs from Down Under - this place is the real deal. Great tasting coffee. The coconut chia pudding is delicious and should be called ANZAC pudding because it has Kiwi fruit (NZ) and mango (QLD, Aus). The sour dough toast was served with honey which was scrumptious and makes for a nice change from jam. ”
“ Hands down just had the best breakfast burrito of my life. Things you should know: I. PARKING There's a small, private parking lot available for S.O.L. that's FREE and conveniently right outside the entryway. II. SERVICE Good, no complaints. III. QUALITY Fresh and delicious. We ordered the Green Dream Toast and the Breakfast Burrito and both were filled with texture and flavor. IV. CAPACITY For a Monday morning, the availability of seating was wide open. There was a steady traffic flow of people grabbing food. ”
“ One of our favourite meals out in Los Angeles. The customer service was lovely and the food excellent. Our order: the Breakfast Burrito, the Sausage & Egg brekkie sandwich (w/ crispy potato) and an OJ. I know the Breakfast Burrito is the famous menu item but I actually think the Sausage & Egg brekkie sandwich might be even better! Highly recommended! Our total bill for two was almost 47. ”
